The chairs are built on frames of plywood veneered in oak, lending them a warm, natural character while maintaining the durability typical of laminated constructions. The frame flows seamlessly from the rear legs into the backrest, creating one continuous line — a solution characteristic of Danish design from that decade. The legs, gently tapering downward, give the silhouette a sense of lightness. The seat and backrest, upholstered in woven fabric in shades of beige and brown, retain their original upholstery, testament to the quality of materials used.

The 1960s in Denmark marked a period when the design principles developed by the previous generation — ergonomics, economy of form, and respect for materials — became the standard for serial production. Danish manufacturers were then exporting furniture throughout Europe and to the United States, building the international reputation of Scandinavian design.
