Pair of Art Deco decorative ceramic vases, glazed in white, pink and gold, European

A pair of decorative ceramic bowls with a distinctive silhouette evoking the elegance of Art Deco design. Wide, basin-shaped vessels rest on slender pedestals, their graceful form complemented by ornamental handles on either side. Glazed ceramic finished in shades of white, pink, and gold lends the pieces a refined, ceremonial quality.

The construction follows a classic scheme deep bowls transition smoothly into tapering bases that terminate in stable feet. Handles with organic, softly curved shapes provide counterpoint to the geometric vessel form. Glaze covers the entire ceramic surface, creating a smooth, lustrous finish. Gold accents highlight the formal details — rims, handles, and decorative elements  adding a distinguished character to the pieces.

The Art Deco style, which dominated decorative arts during the 1920s and 1930s, merged geometric precision with ornamental opulence. Ceramics of this period drew from a fascination with modernity while referencing artisanal craft traditions. Characteristic of the movement was the use of gilding and contrasting colour combinations intended to emphasise the luxurious nature of everyday objects. European ceramic manufacturers developed glazing techniques during this era that produced striking, durable surfaces with intense sheen.

With a diameter of twenty-nine centimetres and height of twenty-one centimetres, these bowls work beautifully as decoration for a sideboard, console table, or dining surface. They may serve as ornamental cachepots, fruit bowls, or standalone interior arrangement elements. The pair allows for symmetrical placement flanking a mirror or artwork.

Condition is good with no significant flaws. The ceramic maintains structural integrity, and the glaze remains intact.
