Description
The sculpture was created in the 1970s and is of Danish manufacture.
This unique teak sculpture depicts a stylised female figure in a dynamic, dancing pose. The slender silhouette with raised arms creates a striking, openwork composition, giving the piece a light and very modern look – even though it retains the typical handcrafted feel of the 1960s and 1970s. The natural teak, with its warm, honey-nut colouring, beautifully highlights the sculptural lines and lends the piece a refined, collector’s-quality character. It is a decoration that functions like a small gallery sculpture – perfect for mid-century modern, modern classic and boho interiors, but also as an interesting counterpoint in minimalist schemes. It looks great on a chest of drawers, a bookcase or a sideboard, accompanied by vintage ceramics and glassware. A beautiful example of a period wooden decoration – the teak adds quality, whilst the form brings a unique vintage design atmosphere to the interior.
Condition: preserved in its original condition; may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
