Description
This ceramic vase was made in the 1960s in Germany.
A striking vase crafted in a German workshop, representing the distinctive Fat Lava style, which became one of the most recognisable trends in European ceramic design of the 1960s and 1970s. The body is covered in an intense red-orange glaze with a strongly textured, almost volcanic structure. Numerous raised elements and contrasting dark details create the effect of a dynamic, organic surface. The lower part of the vase, finished in deep black, lends the piece an air of elegance and emphasises its sculptural character. The intense colours, expressive texture and geometric form ensure that the piece fits perfectly into the mid-century modern aesthetic.
Condition: in its original condition; may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
