Description
The figurine was created in the 1960s, designed by the renowned Danish designer Hans Gustav Ehrenreich. Manufactured by HOPTIMIST.
An iconic piece of Danish design, created by Gustav Ehrenreich as a symbol of optimism and good cheer. Its distinctive spring-loaded mechanism causes the figure to ‘bounce’ gently when touched — hence its name. The minimalist, geometric form and playful expression are the essence of Scandinavian modernism with a touch of pop art. Metal-finish versions (such as this one, in a copper shade) are particularly sought-after by collectors and rarer than the classic plastic versions.
Condition: The item is in its original condition and may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
