Danish floor lamp from the 1970s, finished in pure white. The design represents the mature phase of Scandinavian modernism, when lighting designers focused on reducing form to its absolute essentials. A slender silhouette and uniform colour allow the lamp to function almost as a sculptural object while remaining entirely practical.

The construction centres on a simple metal stem rising from a circular base. The compact shade creates a distinctive flat, umbrella-like form — a solution typical of Danish lighting design in that decade, where directing light downward served to build intimate atmospheres. The entire piece is crafted from metal and finished in a uniform white coating that emphasises the geometric purity of the project. The lamp features a cord-mounted switch and has been electrically tested.

The 1970s brought a clear departure from the organic forms of the previous decade in Danish lighting design. Designers increasingly turned to geometry and monochromatic finishes, seeking balance between functionality and minimalist aesthetics.
