Description
This vase was made in the 1960s by the Danish pottery Søholm.
A compact ceramic vase made at the Danish pottery Søholm on the island of Bornholm – one of the most distinctive producers of Scandinavian artistic ceramics. Decorated with a hand-painted, organic floral motif in shades of cobalt and bronze against a light background. The glaze, with its slightly rustic, grainy texture, and the natural, unglazed base emphasise the piece’s artisanal character and the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s. The form, with its soft, rounded lines and gently tapering neck, fits perfectly with Danish modernism – calm, organic, very ‘Bornholm-esque’.
Condition: in its original condition; may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
