Description
The ceramic bowl was made in the 1970s by the Danish manufacturer Søholm.
A striking, minimalist bowl from the Danish ceramics brand Søholm, featuring the timeless aesthetic of Scandinavian design from the 1960s and 1970s. The bowl has a wide, calm form with a clearly defined rim, giving it a very modern and architectural look – it fits perfectly into the mid-century modern and classic Scandinavian design styles. The exterior combines two contrasting glazes: dark, deep browns with a delicate speckled pattern and a light, creamy rim. The interior is dark, which beautifully emphasises the form and lends the whole piece an air of elegance. It is an item that works wonderfully as a decorative piece, yet is also highly practical — it can serve as a bowl, a large base or a display vessel. Ideal for Scandi, Japandi and modern classic interiors, as well as loft-style and minimalist spaces where material, proportion and detail are key. A highly collectable example of Danish functional ceramics – large format, excellent proportions and the characteristic Søholm aesthetic.
Condition: preserved in its original condition; may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
