Description
The ceramic bowl was made in the 1960s by the Danish manufacturer Lehmann.
A minimalist ceramic bowl by Lehmann from the Danish manufacturer, featuring the austere, refined aesthetic of the 1960s and 1970s. The bowl has a low, understated profile and a substantial rim that emphasises its architectural form. The exterior, in a deep brown, has a slightly grainy, matt texture, whilst the interior is finished with a dark glaze featuring delicate concentric traces of turning — this creates a beautiful handcrafted effect and adds character. This is a highly versatile piece: it works perfectly as a decorative bowl on a table, a fruit bowl, a base for a candle arrangement, or as part of a display of vintage ceramics. Its subdued colour scheme and simple form are ideally suited to mid-century modern, Japandi, Brutalist, loft or minimalist interiors. An elegant, collectable example of vintage Scandinavian functional ceramics — a serene form, sturdy material and beautiful texture.
Condition: preserved in its original condition; may have minor scratches and normal signs of wear.
