The construction relies on solid side panels that extend into a low plinth base, giving the unit stability without requiring wall mounting. Shelves adjust to various heights - with the exception of the central structural shelf - allowing the layout to accommodate everything from paperbacks to oversized volumes. Dark back panels create a backdrop that adds visual depth and highlights the pale ash veneer. The finish remains consistent across all visible surfaces — sides, shelves, and base share the same warm grain.

Domino Møbler was among the Danish manufacturers that embodied the 1970s ideal of democratic design — furniture combining craft-level attention to detail with accessibility for everyday homes. Small losses have been filled during restoration. The piece retains its original manufacturer's label.
